Don’t ever assume that people know how you feel about them,
Tell them…
Tell them…
Think back about the people who have had the greatest influence on your life. A boss, coach, relative, friend…
I was inspired to share this after hearing a story this morning…
a note was found in a young mans wallet after he was killed in Vietnam.
The note was from years prior, where classmates had jotted down some of the best qualities they loved about him. Too often we assume that people know what we think, that we care, or that they are valued, but we rarely tell them.
The story brought my mind back to my highschool Algebra teacher that had written my mother a letter, sharing what a respectful and delightful young lady I was. My mother kept the note and it was incredibly inspiring to me. I wanted to please this particular teacher that much more, and I never forgot her.
People are affected and respond to encouragement and respect.
“Encouragement is Oxygen to the soul” ~George A Adams
Listening to other people and putting their agenda ahead of your own reflects your respect for them and provides the potential to make you and them more successful.
As you interact with people…walk slowly thru the crowd. Remember their name, and show them that you care. Make others a priority, give them recognition, and encourage them.

It will make you a person of significant influence in their lives.
When a person feels encouraged, he can face the impossible, and overcome incredible adversity.

Great post. I love it. I am lucky that I won with the lottery with you!
